Acne Vulgaris
Acne Vulgaris is commonly known as acne. Acne vulgaris is a common skin disease that affects a huge population. Studies shows that nearly 85% of the population is affected by acne vulgaris at some point of life. This problem is severe usually in the teenage. But women develop acne problem in their forties and fifties also.
The cause of acne vulgaris in women arises due to hormonal changes and the change in the feminine cycles. Acne is common in men during adult hood as a result of stress or stress medication.
The reason for acne formation is the blockage in the pores. Hormones like the androgen causes the sebaceous glands, these sebaceous glands produce excess oil, these excess oil and dead skin block the pores of the skin and this results in the growth of bacteria below the surface of the skin. Such area becomes inflamed and can leak into surrounding skin. As a result swelling, redness and pus formation on the skin appears as a pimple, a whitehead or a blackhead.
It is very important to seek the medical treatment for acne as soon as possible because acne progresses from mild, moderate condition to severe condition very quickly. Severe acne can be a hassle as it cause permanent scars or make the patients to seek regular treatment inorder to get this scars removed. Even though there is effective treatment for severe acne, it is always better to get acne treated at an early stage because treatment taken at early stage makes a better chances of fully recovering unscathed. Once recovered the persons show no signs or marks of acne they suffered from and they can very much lead a normal life.
